We're excited to announce Alluno v0.5.x — the cross-platform release. Alluno now runs natively on Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Linux Support

  • Native desktop app — Alluno now runs natively on Linux with full capture and input support.
  • GPU-accelerated capture — PipeWire + DMA-BUF for zero-copy screen capture on Wayland and X11.
  • Hardware encoding — VAAPI and NVENC support for efficient video encoding on AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Full input passthrough — Keyboard, mouse, and gamepad input support.

macOS Support

  • Native desktop app — Alluno now runs natively on macOS with screen capture and input support.
  • GPU-accelerated capture — ScreenCaptureKit with zero-copy CVPixelBuffer capture directly from the GPU.
  • Hardware encoding — VideoToolbox for efficient H.264/HEVC encoding on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
  • Keyboard and mouse passthrough — Full keyboard and mouse input support.

How to Update

Already have Alluno installed?

  • Click update on the UI or Right-click the Alluno icon in your system tray
  • Click "Check for Updates"
  • The update will download and install automatically

New to Alluno?

Your settings will be preserved after updating.
