Information a session produces

IP addressmetadata

Used to route the connection and to choose a relay region near you. Not stored with the session after it ends.

Network qualitymetadata

Latency, bandwidth and packet loss, aggregated to keep relays healthy.

Session timesmetadata

When a session started and ended, and which machine and account were involved.

Regionmetadata

Country or region, derived from the address. Never a precise location.

What is never collected

Session content

No screen recordings or screenshots, no keystroke capture, no audio, no file contents, no record of which apps you used.

Personal data on the host

No documents, media, browsing history or private messages. The host captures a display; it does not read a disk.

How long things are kept

Account and settingsWhile the account exists
MachinesUntil you unpair them, or the account closes

Deleting the account from settings removes everything in the first three rows at once. Billing records remain only for as long as the law says they must.
