A remote session that degrades over an hour is worse than one that never starts, because you only notice once you are deep in something. v0.3.0 is the release where we went after the slow failures: memory that crept up, processes that lingered, connections that gave up rather than retried.
Steady memory
Long sessions no longer accumulate memory or slow down as they run.
Reconnects itself
A dropped connection is retried automatically instead of ending the session.
Audio in step
Audio and video synchronisation fixed, and the glitch at session end is gone.
The leak that only showed up late
Alluno no longer uses extra memory over time, so an eight hour session behaves like a five minute one. The related fix matters just as much: when you disconnect or pause, everything now shuts down properly instead of leaving processes behind.
Connections that keep trying
A network blip used to end the session. Now Alluno attempts to reconnect on its own. Changing settings or restarting is also cleaner, with no lingering connection conflicts to trip over.
Picture and sound
Newer video and audio processing, with better performance and wider codec support.
Both hardware (GPU) and software (CPU) encoding paths are steadier.
The pop and stutter that could happen when ending a session is gone.
Audio and video stay aligned with each other.
Your codec choice no longer resets to Auto-detect when you reopen settings.
Updating
Open the app
Click update in the UI, or right-click the Alluno icon in your system tray.
Check for updates
Choose Check for Updates. The download and install run on their own.
Carry on
Your settings survive the update.
