Until now, "the machine you already own" quietly meant "the Windows machine you already own". From v0.5.x it means all of them. Alluno runs natively on Windows, Linux and macOS, and each one captures on the GPU rather than dragging pixels through the CPU.

Native, not ported

Each platform uses the capture and encode path its own operating system does best. That is why this took a while and why it is worth it: a generic path would have worked everywhere and been good nowhere.

  • Native desktop app with full capture and input support.
  • GPU-accelerated capture: PipeWire and DMA-BUF for zero-copy capture on Wayland and X11.
  • Hardware encoding: VAAPI and NVENC across AMD, Intel and NVIDIA.
  • Full input passthrough: keyboard, mouse and gamepad.
