An invite link looks like alluno.io/join/.... It opens a card with what the owner set for it:

Hostwho

The machine you are joining.

Session limitseats

How many people can be in the session through this link at the same time.

Starts and Expirestime

When the link opens and when it stops working.

Controlsinput

What you may control: keyboard, mouse, gamepad, clipboard. View only means you can watch but not control.

Choose Join now. If the card says Account required, the owner only lets in people who are signed in: choose Sign in to join, and you come straight back to the card afterwards.

If a link says This invite cannot be used, it has expired, reached its limit, or was copied wrong. Ask the owner for a new one.

Type the code on the screen

Some machines ask newcomers for an access code. The machine's own screen shows a 6 digit code, and whoever is at it reads it out to you. Type it into Enter access code.

  • A code is good for five minutes.
  • A few wrong tries lock you out of asking again. The owner can let you back in.
  • The owner, and people the owner marked trusted, are never asked for a code.

Invite links are part of the paid plans. Each machine can have several, each with its own name, expiry, seat limit, number of uses and controls. A link can be open to Anyone with the link, to Specific emails, or only to the Machine members.

Someone on the machine's own list keeps their own controls when they come in through a link. Everybody else gets the link's controls.
